Acupressure, Tai Chi for Back and Neck Pain Relief:

Do you suffer from back discomfort? These days many of us do.

Dr. Lau has developed a powerful yet fun routine to help open the channels that will strengthen your back and neck.

Section 1-4

Millions of people deal with back, neck pain every day.

In this course, Dr. Lau will take you through some movements and stretches that are based in Chinese medicine. Specifically Taichi and Qigong movements and Yin/Yang philosophies to help you release and reconnect.

Our daily lives now involve postures and movements that often “lock” channels and block energy flow, especially with work involving computers and repetitive motions.

Research shows that the slow, focused movements of Tai chi coupled with deep breathing can ease back pain. The practice helps in several ways that include: Strengthening the muscles in the abdomen and pelvic areas that help support the lower back, improving balance and flexibility.

This Tai Chi course is specifically designed for back pain.

  1. Up and Down

Connecting your lower and upper body energy.

  2. Hip rotation

Loosens and Relaxes the hips for Blood Circulation, Release the blockages of your Meridians and expand your Spine.

  3. Brush the Cloud – Large

Similar to small brush the Cloud – Horizontal Rotation Stretches Muscles and Increases Circulation

  4. Up and Down, Open Chest, Neck Forward

Expands your Chest, Rest your hands behind back and Move your chin Down and Up increasing your blood circulation and strengthening your spine

  5. Dragon Shaking

Remember you should always consult a physician before performing any new exercise.
